PROM IS SET FOR THIS SATURDAY! The Prom is set for this Saturday at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center in Burbank. Please arrive by 7:00 pm. Remember to bring your student I.D. and do not bring: drinks (bottled or in liquid containers), medications (prescription or over the counter), food items, or items that could conceal contraband (purses and wallets are permitted). GRADUATION SPEAKER TRYOUTS TO BE HELD Seniors: if you are interested in delivering a speech at graduation, tryouts will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, from 3:45–4:45 PM in the Business and Activities Office. Speeches should be centered around one of the following themes: your experience at AHS, your reflection on your four years at AHS, or your hopes for the Class of 2026. Speeches must be a minimum of 2 minutes and no longer than 5 minutes. To sign up, please complete the attached Google Form and submit a copy of your speech. The deadline is Sunday, April 26, 2026. SBAC TESTING BLOCK SCHEDULE CONTINUES THIS WEEK. During the week of April 13 - 17, AHS will still be on SBAC Block Schedule. On Monday and Wednesday, it will be periods 1, 3 and 5. On Tuesday and Thursday, it will be periods 2, 4, & 6. Minimum Day Schedule on Friday, April 17.
THANK YOU, AHS THESPIANS, FOR A TERRIFIC RUN OF "THE OUTSIDERS" THIS SPRING! A big round of applause for the spring play, "The Outsiders," performed by the AHS Thespians. Three glorious days of performances included three matinees - one for middle school, one for high school and on Saturday - and three evening shows. The entire production, from stage setting to the two casts and a soundtrack proved to make for a memorable spring play!
CONGRATS TO SENIOR EMMETT LEE - PTA REFLECTIONS STATE WINNER! Congrats to our very own Emmett Lee for winning 1st place in the PTA Reflections contest for his video, "Grayscale" in the high school film production category! In addition, he was also designated the Outstanding Interpretation Award Winner, the highest award in film production - the highest honor that the California PTA Reflection committee bestows!
