CONGRATULATIONS TO AHS BAND AND ORCHESTRA!!!

Congratulations to Band and Orchestra for their spectacular performance at the Forum Gold Festival!!! String Orchestra took 2nd, Symphonic Band placed 3rd and Jazz 1 Band made Silver. In addition, soloists awards were given to Christian Mullen on guitar and Jonathan Dang on trumpet!

CONGRATULATIONS TO AHS DANCE AND ALL MALE!!!

Congratulations to the AHS Dance Team and All Male for a spectacular showing at CADTD State Championships!!! Pom Drill took the 1st place trophy while All Male also grabbed the 1st place trophy!! Medium Female Hip Hop nabbed the 3rd place trophy! In addition, Alhambra was award the Sportsmanship trophy for the 2nd consecutive year!

PROM IS COMING!!!

The senior Prom will be held at the Jim Henson Studios in Hollywood! Prom contracts can be picked up in the Student & Employee Welfare Office. Signed contracts are due by April 26. The first 50 students who submit contracts and are approved, the ticket price is only $85.00. During the week of April 8th through 12th, ticket prices are $90.00 with ASB card and $95.00 without. All payments are due by May 1 to the Student Bank. (Click on the headline to download the contract.)

AP HONORS CLASSES NEXT YEAR NEED CONTRACT

If you are taking an AP or Honors course next year, a contract must be signed and submitted to the Office of School Counseling. In order to help students assess the amount of commitment each AP class takes coupled with extracurricular activities, students can meet with their counselor and go over their schedules. Mr. Jose Sanchez Chosen to Serve on State Advisory Committee

Mr. Jose Sanchez of the Social Sciences Department has been chosen to serve on the California Department of Education State Seal of Engagement Advisory Committee. As one of fourteen state teachers, Sanchez will assist in developing criteria for the awards given to deserving high school seniors who demonstrate excellence in civics education and participation, and have demonstrated an understanding of the U.S. Constitution.

Alhambra HS Wins Prestigious Golden Bell Award for Moor Friends!

Alhambra High School just won a prestigious Golden Bell Award for its Moor Friends Program! Moor Friends was founded on the premise that help nurture a growing culture of establishing long lasting friendships across the student body. The groups helps to forge unique partnerships and bonds between general education and special education students. Teachers Melissa Martinez, Wendy Osawa and Jamie Peralta spearhead the program. In its 39th year, the Golden Bell Award honors public school programs innovation, sustainability, and best practices that facilitate positive student outcomes.
