Congratulations to AHS MESA students for their victories at regional MESA day this past weekend.  They competed against the top teams from the UCLA, CSULA and CSUSB Mesa programs.  See the list of winners below!

The Little Mermaid performances are Friday, April 26th at 6:30pm; Saturday, April 27th, at 6:30pm; with a Saturday matinee on April 27th, at 11:00am. The April 27th matinee performance will also feature special ticket add-ons including a post-show meet and greet with Ariel. Spring football practice will be pushed back a week.

Congratulations to AHS FBLA!
Justin Lam, Jimmy Guan-Yang, Sokichi Takahashi, and Isaiah Vasallo-Gupilan for qualifying and attending FBLA State competition this weekend in Anaheim! A big shout out to Justin Lam for placing 4th for Help Desk! He qualifies to advance to Nationals in Orlando, FL this June. Good luck Justin!
 
Senior graduation is quickly approaching! For any seniors interested, there will be graduation speech tryouts on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 from 3:45pm to 4:45pm, after school in the Business & Activities Office. Your speech should be centered around the following themes: "Your experience at AHS", "Your review of your four years at AHS", or "Your hopes for the class of 2024". The speech should be a minimum of 2 not to exceed 5 minutes. Please complete the attached Google Form and submit a copy of your speech to sign up for try-outs. You will then be sent an email for your allotted time slot.

If paying fines, please stop by the Bookroom for your textbook record. 
Take that to the Student Bank to pay for any lost books, and bring the receipt back to the Bookroom
Fees can only be paid by cash or money order
 
The bookroom will be closed on the following days/times in May.

Monday, 4/22: Varsity Softball will host San Gabriel HS (Almont League, Senior Night). Game will begin at 3:30pm. 
Monday, 4/22: JV Softball will host  San Gabriel HS  (Almont League). Game will begin at 3:30pm. 
Tuesday, 4/23: JV Baseball will host Montebello HS (Almont League).  Game will begin at 3:30pm. 
Thursday, 4/25: Varsity Baseball will host Montebello HS (Almont League).  Game will begin at 3:30pm. 
Friday, 4/26: Varsity Baseball will host Montebello HS (Almont League).  Game will begin at 3:30pm. 
 
Big Gym/Small Gym: 
Monday, 4/22: Badminton will host Mark Keppel HS (League) Games will begin at 3:30pm.

Any changes will be sent out as soon as possible. This is the last week of Almont league play for most sports, hopefully we have a lot of athletes push through to CIF!

Alhambra USD Career Fair will be held on 4/24 at our Gyms from 5:30-7:30 pm, come and learn from the different professionals and see what possible job shadowing or internship opportunities are available.  Flyer.

Cal State LA Student Ambassador, Paddy Lin will be stationed at the College & Career Center/Library on Wednesdays from 8am to 11am & Friday 12:30-3:30pm.  If you would like to book Paddy to come speak to your class about Cal State LA or CSU system in general, you will be able to do that with this link.  Students will also be able to make an appointment with him using the same link.
