The Alhambra HS Mighty Moor Marching Band along with the bands from San Gabriel HS and Keppel HS have been selected to perform in the Tournament of Roses Parade in 2020! Students interested in performing in the parade, please see Mr. Mark Trulson in room M1. Practices are Mondays and Thursdays at 3:00pm.

Revolution Prep Spring Online Courses

The Alhambra Unified School District has once again partnered with Revolution Prep for the 2018-2019 school year to offer SAT and ACT Group Courses open to AUSD students. If you missed your chance last semester or simply want to take the class again, please open the attached flyer for information on how to sign up! For the Spring semester, classes will be offered online. This means you can pick a schedule that is most convenient for you and won’t conflict with your other activities. The online classes can be launched from anywhere (home, school, library) -- all you will need is internet access and a computer! Sign-ups are now open. Please note: Priority will be given to 11th grade (Juniors) followed by 10th grade (Sophomores); however, all Juniors and Sophomores are encouraged to register. All students that wish to participate must complete this registration form to reserve your spot! Registration will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Mr. Jose Sanchez Chosen to Serve on State Advisory Committee

Mr. Jose Sanchez of the Social Sciences Department has been chosen to serve on the California Department of Education State Seal of Engagement Advisory Committee. As one of fourteen state teachers, Sanchez will assist in developing criteria for the awards given to deserving high school seniors who demonstrate excellence in civics education and participation, and have demonstrated an understanding of the U.S. Constitution.

The Winter Formal (formerly Buddy Dinner) will be held on Jan. 26, 2019 at the Grapevine Arbor Park in San Gabriel. Join your fellows Moors for a night of dinner, dancing and fun! Pick up your contract in the Student & Employee Welfare Office.

Course Selection Fair Coming!

On January 23, 2019, students will have the opportunity to ask questions and hear from other students about the elective courses they have taken! Formerly the Recruitment Fair, the large gym will play host to booths featuring each of the elective courses on campus that students may take in preparation for the next school year.

AP Parent Info Meeting

Alhambra High School will be hosting its annual AP Parents Information Meeting on Thursday, February 7, 2019, to inform parents about next year's Advanced Placement program and program changes for the upcoming school year. The General Session will begin at 5:30pm in the auditorium, and then move to breakout sessions at 6:30pm in the library and various classrooms in the D Building.

Congratulations to Anthony France for being given the Game Changer Award of the month! Also, congrats to Ms. Melissa Martinez and Mr. Jurgio Valinhas for each being awarded the AUSD Badge Award for October! And an extended congratulations to Mr. Valinhas for being chosen for the Game Changer Award for the month of October!
