As part of our application process for the Community Schools Grant at Alhambra HS, we have been asked to complete this 15 minute survey to provide important data and input. The survey link will be sent out to families via Blackboard. Please support Alhambra HS for this Community Schools grant. It can result in significant resources for our school. 2023 STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM WITH SOUTH KOREA BEING PLANNED!

AHS is currently in the process of coordinating a foreign exchange program to Jeonnam, South Korea. In February 2023, 22 students will be visiting AHS, and will stay with 11 AHS host families (2 per home). They will follow the class schedule of the host student, practices, and activities. After the nine day homestay, they will experience tourist sites, amusement parks, and activities here in So. Cal. Then during our spring break in March 2023, you will visit and stay with them in Jeonnam, South Korea, experience their campus, sites, activities, culture, and get a tour of Seoul. For all issues (exchanges, loaners, tech issues, etc.) please go to room B11 from 8:00am to 10:00am. Otherwise, go to the Office of Instruction in the Principal's Office in the D Building from 10:00am to 12:00pm. For all other times, an AHS Tech ticket (email) needs to be filled out and submitted.

The College Board continues with its virtual college exploration initiative designed to connect Black students and families with Black representatives from colleges and access organizations across the country. The first set of career events this month will feature young Black professionals in the tech, sports, and entertainment industries. Congrats to the AHS Speech & Debate for being named Chapter of the Year for the East Los Angeles District!!! This award, based on student participation throughout the past school year, is the highest recognition a school can receive from the NSDA. Alhambra is one of only 109 chapters to receive this award this year.
