GET READY FOR THE ANNUAL HAUNTED HOUSE!

The AHS Thespians will be hosting the annual Haunted House - with this year's event titled "Caged." It will be held on Friday, October 9th, from 3:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Ticket prices are $8.00 for students and $10.00 for adults. Come out and support your AHS Theater program! Can you believe it is fall already? It still feels like summer! This week, October 5 - 9, it is regular schedule with Advisory periods on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday - student choice. Then on Friday, there will be Collab Schedule with school ending at 2:38 pm.

IT'S HOMECOMING SPIRIT WEEK!

Join in on the festivities and welcome in Homecoming Spirit Week! Each day has a theme and will culminate with the dance! Wednesday is twin day! Dress up with someone else. DO YOU WANT TO SPEND SPRING BREAK IN KOREA?

The AHS Korean Exchange Program deadline has been extended for one week! Spend Spring Break (March 26 - April 4, 2027) in South Korea with a host family, experience a different culture and learn so much! See Mr. Jayson Pineda for further details.

BUY YOUR HOMECOMING DANCE TICKET!

The Homecoming Dance is coming up on Saturday, October 10th! Purchase your ticket at the Student Bank asap! Ticket prices are as follows: $22.00 with ASB Card and $25.00 without. The night will prove to be fun for all!

SENIORS - DO NOT FORGET ABOUT YOUR CAP AND GOWN!

Seniors should have either purchased or rented their cap and gown already. The purchase price is $26.55 with 10.5% Tax. After March 30th, seniors may purchase a set online $33.15 (the late price). If you intend to PURCHASE a cap and gown, the cost will be $26.55 including tax. Students will receive the cap, gown and tassel to keep. Just click on the headline to access the link.

Orders after March 30th, 2027 will be $33.15 including tax. Rental is free to the student. You keep the cap and the tassel and you return the gown before picking up your diploma. Just click on the headline to access the form.

COME JOIN THE FESTIVITIES AT NOCHE DE LOTERIA!

The Alhambra Latino Association invites everyone to Noche De Loteria, an fun-filled night on Friday, October 9, 2026 from 6:00 pm to 9:00pm! The gala will be held at the Alhambra Masonic Lodge on 9 Woodward Avenue in Alhambra. It will be a wonderful gathering for all!

THE HOMECOMING DANCE DATE HAS BEEN CHANGED!!!

If you have not heard already, the Homecoming Dance has been moved to Saturday, October 9th, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. A Night in Rio with lights under the stars will be a great time for all!

Changes to enrollment can be challenging, but they also provide an opportunity to thoughtfully consider the future of the district and how we can continue providing strong educational experiences for students. Help Reimagine the Future of AUSD

Like many school districts throughout the State, AUSD is experiencing declining enrollment. This has significant implications for our schools and the district as a whole. AUSD formed an Enrollment Impact Committee (or EIC) to study this issue. We are inviting the community to be part of the conversation. IF YOU HAVE LOST AN ITEM...

If you lost a sweat shirt, water bottle, binder, keys or any other item, please stop by the lost and found area in the Student Support Services office in C122. A slew of clothes and water bottles have been returned. Items will be donated at the end of each semester.

PLEASE NOTE TECH SUPPORT OFFICE HOURS!

If your school laptop needs help, please note the hours of the newly revamped Tech Office in D104: one hour before school everyday; Advisory and Homeroom on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday; and after school only on Monday and Friday. The Tech Office will be closed at all other times.

CONGRATS TO THE STATE PTA REFLECTIONS WINNER, EMMETT LEE!

Congratulations to Emmett Lee, first place winner of the California PTA Reflections Award of Excellence for his film "Greyscale" in the High School Film Production Category. In addition, the film took the highest honors in Outstanding Interpretation Film Production.

FIVE AHS STUDENTS WIN NATIONAL SPEECH & DEBATE ASSOCIATION AWARD!

Five students from Alhambra High School have earned the National Speech & Debate Association’s Academic All American Award, one of the highest honors presented by the organization. Emilie Taniguchi, Collin Lei, Brizia Eb, Suki Li, and Brendon Wu were given the very selective award which recognizes students who have demonstrated excellence both in competition and in the classroom. To qualify, students must earn the degree of Superior Distinction, which requires at least 750 speech and debate tournament and service points. Recipients must also have completed a minimum of five semesters of high school, maintained a GPA of 3.7 or higher, and demonstrated outstanding character, leadership, and academic achievement. Fewer than one percent of student competitors nationwide receive the distinction each year.
