Course Selection for 2024-25 for Current Students
Course Selection Windows CLOSED on January 26, 2025.
Students need to log into the family.ausd.us portal to submit their course selection requests for the 2025-26 school year.
Counselors conducted IN PERSON presentations for all grade levels 9-11. The presentation slides were posted on the grade level class pages.
Students will meet with their assigned counselor during the end of January- end of February via their English class.

We encourage families to review the course catalog at AUSD Course Catalog to determine courses meeting high school and A-G. In addition, log onto the UC A-G Course List to view Alhambra's A-G list.
Friendly Registration Reminders:
- ALL classes are YEARLONG
- These are requests and are NOT guaranteed
- AP/Honors request are considered elective and are not guaranteed
- Request NO MORE than 3 AP/Honors classes (consideration for more requires admin approval)
- Students will be meeting with their counselor during their class assigned times, after the registration window has closed
- DO NOT duplicate requests
- Once the student has met with the counselor, requests will be finalized, and changes will not be made until "Student Kick Off" in early August

January 22, 2025: AHS Course Selection Fair
- chance to preview the courses we offer
- look at sample projects conducted in class
- hear about our special Academic competitive teams/courses
- More details shared with students at a later time
January 23, 2025: AP/Honors Parent Night
- Hear about the course rigor
- look at sample projects conducted in class
- Meet the teacher/department representative
- More details shared with student and parents at a later time for zoom webinar
January 28-February 28
- Individual appts with Counselor and student via their English class
March 4-March 18
- Individual appts with Counselor and 8th graders at the elementary sites

Parent/Guardian MUST ALSO complete their returning student registration. Parents can complete it by logging onto their powerschool account. More information is listed on the AUSD website: Powerschool Online Enrollment.
