Any students wanting to tryout for the track team, tryouts will be held Monday January 12th, Tuesday January 13th, and Wednesday January 14th  at the Track on 4th Street at 3 PM. All those trying out must have a valid physical exam form from a doctor on file with the school. Physical exams are valid for up to one year from the time of the exam. Anyone without a physical WILL NOT be permitted to tryout for the team. If you need a physical exam form, see Mr. DeSantis in the Athletic Director’s Office by the Gym.  Coach Shapiro

Come to the auditorium tomorrow for the annual Band and Orchestra Winter Concert! Come watch amazing holiday performances by our AHS musicians! Performances all start at 7 o’clock. Tickets are $5.***

 
To the Senior Class of 2015:
To celebrate completing the first semester, Senior Council is hosting a Mini Picnic for all AHS Seniors on 12/18 after school! Come to the Quad and enjoy pizza, drinks, and a photobooth!

The Moor Weekly is selling Christmas Grams until 12/10. All grams will bed delivered on 12/18  and come with a holiday card and a candy cane. Order one for $1!

Students: The latest Scholarship Bulletin is out! Get a copy of the Scholarship Bulletin in the Career Center or Guidance Office or by asking one of your teachers to print it for you. The Southern California chapter of the North America Taiwanese Women’s Association (NATWA) offers scholarships in the amount of $500 to high school seniors or graduates who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in their activities in school, the community or the workplace. Applicants must be a high school graduate or current high school student in good standing who plans to enroll full-time in an accredited two-year or four–year college or university in the United States or Canada for the following academic year.  We are looking for ambitious and motivated students, giving special consideration to the applicant’s financial need.  Young men and women of all ethnic groups are encouraged to apply. To all freshmen interested in running for Freshmen Council, Freshmen Class President and/or to be ASB Freshmen Representative, please attend the mandatory information meetings on Wednesday 12/10, Thursday 12/11, and Friday 12/12 during lunch in C122.
GCA Club meeting in D-314 this Thursday during lunch. We will be discussing our upcoming field trip to Heritage Square Museum and the Audubon Center (12/18).
Boys Soccer went 1-1 this week playing back-to-back games. Varsity and JV beat Covina at home on Monday and both teams lost close games to Rosemead on Tuesday. The boys will look to regroup and get a win next week at home vs La Quinta. Go Moors!***All overdue books need to be returned  BEFORE the Winter Break., no later than Thursday, Dec. 18th.  All unpaid fines also need to be paid off before Winter Break. The library will be open on Monday (Dec. 15th) and Tuesday (Dec. 16th) until 3:00 P.M. for studying.

Senior Council is hosting an ALL SENIOR EVENT at the basketball courts and quad! As a reward for finishing college applications, seniors can go to the basketball courts for pizza and drinks and take a picture at the photobooth with friends at the quad! There is no fee!
