FRESHMAN ORIENTATION - LOCATION CHANGE!

Link Crew is inviting all Freshman to attend the Freshman Orientation on Wednesday, August 5th, beginning at 8:30 am until 1:00 pm. Parents are asked to drop off their child at the 2nd Street gates near the auditorium. Information regarding the school year will be presented. What a great way to start high school!

STUDENTS WHO WANT TO REQUEST CHANGES TO THEIR SCHEDULES...

Students who want to request a change to their schedules may do so by filling out a Course Change Request Form. Just click on the headline and fill out their request - JUST ONCE for each change! Please remember that schedules are not final and changes will still be made.

FALL SPORTS PARENTS & COACHES MEETING TO BE HELD ON AUGUST 13

All parents with athletes who are interested in participating in fall sports should attend the Fall Sports Parents and Coaches meeting on Thursday, August 13th, beginning at 5:00 pm in the cafeteria. The meeting will begin with a presentation regarding eligibility, expectations, and other relevant items. Afterwards, breakout sessions for each sport will be held.

ALL STUDENTS SHOULD REGISTER FOR THE UPCOMING SCHOOL YEAR!

ALL 9TH THROUGH 11TH GRADERS CAN TAKE THEIR YEARBOOKS PORTRAITS ON AUG. 5 & 6!

All 9th, 10th, and 11th graders may take their yearbook portraits on Wednesday and Thursday, August 5th and 6th, in the auditorium foyer from 12:00 pm until 5:00 pm. Various packages will be offered for purchase if you would like. More information to follow.

CONGRATS TO THE STATE PTA REFLECTIONS WINNER, EMMETT LEE!

Congratulations to Emmett Lee, first place winner of the California PTA Reflections Award of Excellence for his film "Greyscale" in the High School Film Production Category. In addition, the film took the highest honors in Outstanding Interpretation Film Production.

FIVE AHS STUDENTS WIN NATIONAL SPEECH & DEBATE ASSOCIATION AWARD!

Five students from Alhambra High School have earned the National Speech & Debate Association’s Academic All American Award, one of the highest honors presented by the organization. Emilie Taniguchi, Collin Lei, Brizia Eb, Suki Li, and Brendon Wu were given the very selective award which recognizes students who have demonstrated excellence both in competition and in the classroom. To qualify, students must earn the degree of Superior Distinction, which requires at least 750 speech and debate tournament and service points. Recipients must also have completed a minimum of five semesters of high school, maintained a GPA of 3.7 or higher, and demonstrated outstanding character, leadership, and academic achievement. Fewer than one percent of student competitors nationwide receive the distinction each year.
