MOOR FRIENDS CLUB is having their first open meeting of the year. Come to B23 this Thursday during lunch. We will be voting for council so if you are interested in running for leadership and having fun, come join our team of heroes! "Heroes are made by the path they choose, not the powers they are graced with."

 

Congratulations to the following students elected to School Site Council for 2019-2020! Silvana Arriola (11), Jorge Lopez (12), Sophia Olmeda (12), Sariah Perera (11), Claire Rodarte (12). The first SSC meeting will be held on Wednesday, 9/18/19 in the library at 3:15pm.

 

Attention 11th grade students...

Hurry! Hurry! Hurry! Deadline to sign up for PSAT/NMSQT is Friday, October 4th.  The cost is $20.00 and you can pay at the Student Bank .  

PSAT/NMSQT test will be administered on Wednesday, October 16 during periods 1 -4.  

 

Attention to all those who paid for the PSAT, the study guides are in! Please come pick one up at the Student bank during lunch or after school!

Come hear the counselors present information about the college application process, financial aid, and senior timeline

 

Homework help. Tutoring is held every Thursday in Room D207 by AP Ambassadors for all subjects. Come get help or just have a place to do your homework. See you there!!

 

Fall Play auditions will be Thursday, 9/12 at 3pm in the Little Theater. No preparation needed, just show up at 3pm. Come support your favorite teachers and staff members at the first annual Staff/Faculty Talent Show on Friday, 9/27 at 7pm! Tickets will be available starting 9/13 in the student bank for only $5. Don't miss this amazing opportunity to see your teachers and staff members take a risk and perform for you!

 

Senior Portrait Make-Up Day is Tuesday, September 17th from 2:00 - 6:00 pm. Pictures will be taken in Alhambra High School's cafeteria. 

 

SAVE THE DATE:  The 12th ANNUAL DISTRICT COLLEGE FAIR is coming soon! THURSDAY, OCTOBER 17, 2019 from 6:00pm-8pm at SAN GABRIEL HIGH SCHOOL. Representatives from 2 year & 4 year colleges/universities, vocational schools and the military will be on campus. Parents and all 9th-12th grade students are invited to attend. Financial aid workshops will also be provided.  – Mrs. Monica Marquez. See flyer attached.

  • Thursday, September 12 - Parent University Workshop at 6pm in the Alhambra High School Cafeteria.  The topic for this workshop is Bullying Prevention.  Translation and childcare provided.  
  • 10th & 11th Grade Students can sign up/pay to take the PSAT/NMSQT at Alhambra High School on October 16th.  Please sign up at the student Bank. Only 100 tests left for sale!
  • Please join our Alhambra High Parent Teacher Association (PTA). Membership is $10. Our PTA provides scholarships for graduating seniors, mini grants for teachers, support for teacher and parent engagement events, and a voice for parents. 
  • Please support our students by coming to our weekly athletic tournaments. Please go to our school’s website for more information.  PTA will be selling refreshments at the Moor Field Snack Shack - during home games.
