Swearing-In Ceremony & Reception for Mr. Ken Tang AUSD's Board Member & Clerk Mr. Ken Tang was recently been appointed by California Governor Gavin Newsom to serve a full, four-year term on the CalSTRS Teachers’ Retirement Board as the representative of all California School Board Members. Immediately preceding Tuesday's Board Meeting, Mr. Tang will take his Oath of Office, with a reception to follow. Members of the public are welcome to join Mr. Tang and AUSD for this celebratory occasion on Tuesday, February 27th at 4:30pm in the Board Room (1515 West Mission Road in Alhambra).
IMPORTANT INFO REGARDING TRANSCRIPT ORDERING! For seniors who wish to order high school transcripts, please submit your requests for final transcripts on the AHSMoors.org website (bottom, right hand side). Under “Special Instructions” please indicate if you would like the transcripts to be sent electronically, mailed (to colleges only) or picked up in person from the Counseling Office. You can submit one request for all your transcripts. Please remember only five requests per school year are free. Beyond that, there’s a charge ($2 per transcript + $4 service fee per request). All final transcript requests will be processed by July 1, 2023 and a confirmation email will be sent to you. As a reminder please use your personal email.

We are grateful to the AUSD community and the readers of the Pasadena Star-News, the San Gabriel Valley Tribune, and the Whittier Daily News for voting for Alhambra USD for Readers Choice Awards in so many categories. AUSD was named FAVORITE SCHOOL DISTRICT & BEST WORKPLACE in the San Gabriel Valley, fifteen of our schools were named FAVORITE PUBLIC SCHOOL, and the Alhambra Educational Foundation was named FAVORITE NON-PROFIT. Parent Workshop: IEP Process We are excited to share information about the West San Gabriel Valley SELPA's parent workshop on the IEPs: THE IEP PROCESS AND HOW TO NAVIGATE IT. This October 25th training will help parents who are new to the world of special education. Parents may attend in person at 1:00pm or virtually at 6:30pm. REP. JUDY CHU ANNOUNCES 2023 CONGRESSIONAL APP CHALLENGE! Congressmember Judy Chu announces the annual Congressional App Challenge for middle and high school students in the 28th Congressional District! The Congressional App Challenge is the official computer science competition of the House of Representatives. Students create original apps using any programming language and platform. Participants can start registering today as an individual or with a team of up to four students on the Congressional App Challenge Portal: https://www.congressionalappchallenge.us/students/ or click on the headline to access the link. The deadline to register and submit competition materials online is November 1, 2023.
