Attendance Policies

ABSENCES
Absences must be cleared by a note or parent phone call within three school days. If an absence is not cleared the teacher is not required to give make-up to the student. Attendance is critical to academic success and is a key factor in funding.

TARDY POLICY
It is the responsibility of the student to be in class on time. Teachers are expected to use judgment in determining a tardy if they are not in the class when the tardy bell stops ringing. The following tardy procedure will be used:

TARDIES (Per semester)
TARDY 1 Student receive WARNING by teacher
TARDY 2 DETENTION can be before/ after school, or lunch.

DETENTION assigned by counselor through SSO
TARDY 4 REFERAL to Student Services
SWP (Saturday School) assigned by Student

SWP (Saturday School) assigned by Student
Services.
Parent contacted by Student Services
SART referral
TARDY 6 SUSPENSION FROM SCHOOL (can be In-House or
Home) Suspension from school activities.

Students failing to report for detention are assigned SWP. Students failing to report for SWP are suspended.
